Abstract

470,425. Cooking-stoves. IMBER, J., and ALADDIN INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Feb. 15, 1936, No. 4677. [Class 126] A slidable tray e for carrying plates or other articles to be warmed is mounted between heating-elements (in the stove shown, oil lamps b) disposed beneath the hot-plate c of a cooking- stove. In the construction shown, the tray carries brackets f on which is mounted a wire rack h for carrying the plates. The tray is supported at the rear by rollers m running on guides d, and at the front by a leg k carrying a wheel l which runs on the ground. The hotplate is preferably as shown in Figs. 5, 7, comprising three cooking points o, p, q to the centre of which the hot gases are led by a trough or channel r below the hot-plate. The covers t of the end cooking-points carry depending partcircular flanges u forming dampers which coact with baffles x in the trough so that by rotating the covers the passage of the gases to the central cooking-point may be controlled. The covers are rotated by arms w extending from them into recesses v, which may be inclined so that when partially rotated the covers are lifted from their seats to increase the draught. To diminish transmission of heat, the rim of the hot-plate is connected to the central portion by air-spaced ribs 2.
