Abstract
470,344. Electric hair - waving appliances. THRIENE, E. Feb. 12, 1936, No. 4279. Convention date, Sept. 21, 1935. [Class 39 (iii)] In a hair-waving device of the electrolytically heated type the ratchet and electrolytic layer are enclosed in a spring clip which also serves as an electric contact device. The clip consists of two spring plates a, b connected to the outer of two concentric contacts d, e ; the inner contact e is connected to a spring g insulated from the plates. The electrolytic pad n is enclosed between two sheets k, m, of metal foil, the outer, p of which is in contact with the plates a, b and the inner formed with a tongue passing through the pad to make contact with the spring g. A sheet o of insulating material is placed inside the electrode m and the outer electrode k encloses the whole, which is placed outside the sachet containing the waving solution, and the whole is gripped by the plates a, b.
