469,015. Photographic developing &c. apparatus. POOLE, R., and METROPOLITAN - VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. Jan. 10, 1936, No. 931. [Class 98 (ii)] Apparatus for treating photographic prints in succession with washing, developing or fixing liquids comprises a drum or belt 1, rotating about a horizontal axis to which the prints are fed at a point above the axis past an elongated nozzle 2 which delivers liquid in a sheet across the full width of the print and is directed in the direction of travel of the paper. The paper is fed under a press roller 3 against which the liquid accumulates in a pool 5, through which the paper passes. The print is prevented from curling as it leaves the roller 3 by a second nozzle 6 pointing in the opposite direction to the nozzle 2. The prints may pass a further nozzle 7 and roller 8 from whence they are delivered by a plate 9 to a continuously driven band conveyer 10 past squeegee rollers 12, 13. If it is desired to treat the prints with an intensifier prior to developing they may be fed at Y past roller 16, and a washing nozzle 18 to the roller 22 which is supplied with intensifying liquid such as potassium bichromate by rollers 20, 21, from a bath 19. Washing water is delivered by an elongated nozzle 24 after which the prints are fed to the developer nozzle 2.
