468,464. Hydraulic transmission of power. FOTTINGER, H. Feb. 11, 1936, No. 4176. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1935. [Class 69 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVI] A turbine -type blade ring, for fluid transmission gears, comprises a number of ring-portions each consisting of a group of radial-flow blades a made integral with a sector-shaped carrier portion b, the portions being assembled to form a closed ring. The ring-portions are die-cast and are secured to one another by welding or soldering. They may be held together by a shrunk-on ring. The carrier b has a ledge f which engages the rotor. The blade tips are shrouded at h. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a statement that the ring- portions may be cut from the solid, and that the invention may be applied to turbines generally. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
