Abstract
467,691. Adding white water to paper pulp. FAIR, A. E. H. Feb. 24, 1936, No. 5508. [Class 96] That part of the white water from a Fourdrinier papermaking machine containing mainly short fibres is separately collected and distributed, e.g. with filler, on to the pulp on the wire-cloth 2 of a Fourdrinier paper-making machine, as by pumping it from a vat 10 through sprays 7 to a corrugated plate 5 with a resilient lip 6. The plate 5 &c. is adjusted along the wire 2 according to the thickness of the paper, and the desired " one- " or " two-sidedness," which also depends on the proportions of white water &c. used. Specification 450,120 is referred to.
