Abstract

467,401. Chairs combined with tables. WILLIS, G. T. Nov. 7, 1936, No. 30406. [Class 52 (iii)] The straight-sided chair arm k has a rigid enlarged extension n projecting entirely in front of the arm and towards the other arm m of the chair, leaving a space to allow access to the chair h. As shown in plan the combined article has straight vertical sides without external projections so that a number may be arranged closely side-by-side. The arms k, m rest on the tops of the front uprights a, d and a bracket p attached to the upright a forms an additional support for the table. The invention may be applied to a bench provided with spaced arms to divide it into individual seats, the arm at one end and some or all of the intermediate arms being fitted with tables.
