Abstract

465,415. Golf-club handles. VICKERY, N. P., and AMERICAN FORK & HOE CO. Nov. 5, 1935, No. 30583. [Class 132 (ii)] Comprises a shaft provided with two short relatively spaced portions one 4a between the hand grip 2 and the middle of the shaft, and the other 5a between the middle and the club head 3, and substantially close to the latter, each of which is more readily flexible than the adjoining portion of the shaft towards the hand grip end. The shaft at the mentioned portions is restricted in diameter to give the above effect and the restrictions are tapered from their middles towards the ends as shown. The upper portion has its minimum diameter located preferably a distance from the grip end of 104 minus twice the overall length of the shaft in inches.
