Abstract

464,750. Cylinders. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG-UND-MOTORENWERKE AKT.-GES. Oct. 12, 1936, No. 27644. Convention date, Oct. 14, 1935. [Class 7 (ii)] In the cylinder of a two-stroke engine, the inlet ports 5 are uncovered by the piston before the exhaust ports 6, and are fed with scavenging air or combustible mixture by long smooth passages 3, mixing of exhaust gas with the charge being thus prevented. The passages 3, which are oblique to the cylinder axis and tangential to the cylinder base, extend from an annular passage 13 and an admission duct 11. The exhaust passages 4 are short and open directly into an exhaust duct 8.
