Abstract

464,147. Electric heating resistances. J. P. TUBULAR HEATER CO., Ltd., and JACKSON, R. A. F. Nov. 12, 1935, No. 31238. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electric resistance heater wherein the heating element is supported in a protective housing 1 by positioning insulator 3, the latter or parts thereof are arranged in an inclined direction to the shortest path between the element and the housing. This arrangement enables a sufficient length of insulation between the housing and the resistance to be obtained in a housing of restricted size. The resistance wire is threaded through holes in the insulators. Shock-absorbing fibre rods 13 are arranged between the housing and the insulators and the latter are threaded on a spring or tie rod 7.
