463,863. Television. RADIOAKT,-GES. D. S. LOEWE. Aug. 6, 1935, No. 4915/37. Convention date, Sept. 4, 1934. Divided application. [Class 40 (iii)] After each revolution of a disc 10, which has spirally arranged apertures of one half (or third) the number of scanning lines, the projection 10<1> of a discontinuously moved film 6 on the disc is displaced optically by the width of one line, thus giving interlaced scanning. The displacement is produced by a plate 16 of glass oscillating at the image frequency. Synchronizing signals are produced by a dark edge to the scanned area by projection of a smaller area 22 of additional light. Alternatively, a diaphragm 25 rotates behind the scanning-disc.
