Abstract

461,710. Electric immersion heaters. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and STOPFORD, C. W. Nov. 11, 1935, No. 31149. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electric immersion heater of the sheathed wire type in which the ends of the heating element are carried in a metal head 2 secured to the vessel to be heated, a sealing member 5 of elastic material is provided through which the ends of the resistance wires pass to a terminal block 6 arranged in the head 2. The member 5 may be a rubber washer. The block 6 retains the member 5 in position.
