[Class 84] [Also in Group XXVIII] A milking-machine installation of the kind in which the milk is conducted under vacuum from the place of milking through more or less fixed pipe lines to a collecting vessel comprises T-tubes 1 removably connected to fixed holders 4 and detachably connected with rigid pipes 13, 14 which connect the T-tubes with each other and maintain them in a fixed position relative to each other and to the holders 4. Each T-tube has an ear 2 by which it is mounted on a pin 3 on the holder 4, and has a lug 11 which engages in a bayonet-slot 12 on holder 4 to lock it in position. Each T-tube has a cock 16 and a nozzle 22 for taking the piping connecting it to the teat cups. The T-tubes 1 and pipes 13, 14 are held together by a lever 24 which has a weight 25 and bears on a plug 23 inserted in a T-tube or in a pipe 13. The holders 4 may carry the main vacuum and pulsating pressure pipes 6, 7.
