456,979. Heels for boots and shoes. GRIMWOOD, G., Anchorage, Histon, Cambridge. May 18, 1935, No. 14570. [Class 17 (ii)] A spring heel for footwear, especially ladiesfootwear,comprises a heel shaped casing 1, preferably of light metal, in the upper part of which is a filling material 2. A screw 4 or similar securing means passes through the centre of a spring 6 contained in a device comprising two telescoping parts 3, 5, with vertical walls, into the filling 2. The upper part 5 of this device is fixed in relation to the casing 1 and the bottom 8 of the lower part 3 is recessed to receive a renewable heel pad 7.
