Abstract
Light-sensitive layers are prepared by means of diazo compounds of the general formula R--O--CH2--CO--NH--R<1>--N : NX where R is an aryl nucleus which may be unsubstituted or substituted by alkyl or alkoxy groups or halogen, R<1> is a 2 : 5-dialkoxy benzene nucleus, and X is chlorine or other acid radicle. The bodies may be used in the process of Specification 443,955, [Group XX]. In one example, the diazo compound of 4-(1<1>-methyl)-phenoxy-acetylamino-2 : 5-dimethoxy-1-aminobenzene, prepared by reacting p-cresol with chloracetic acid, condensing the product with 1 : 4-diamino-2 : 5-dimethoxy-benzene and diazotizing the product, is used. Specification 450,817, [Group XX], also is referred to.
