Abstract

453,260. Display containers. GLEDHILL, H., Mayfield, Argomeols Road, Freshfield, Lancashire. Feb. 11, 1936, No. 4077. [Class 18] [See also Group XVIII] Small articles such as boxes, tins, &c. are packed for display purposes in a receptacle formed from a back board or card 1 carrying one or more pleated paper, cardboard, &c. strips 3, 4 constituting open troughs 5 which are closed at one end by a strip 7 which may be folded up from the back board or formed from the pleated strip or may be a separate strip passing right round the receptacle. The other end may be similarly closed by a strip 8 and the open faces of the troughs of each multi-celled receptacle are covered by a translucent sheet 9, e.g. of cellulose. A central partition 11 may be of the full height of the receptacle while the remaining partitions are of less height. The articles are removed by tearing away a strip 7 or 8 or where these are not provided by tearing the translucent sheet 9. The back board 1 may have an eyelet 2 or may be provided with a folding stand.
