452,896. Closuring collapsable tubes. MULHENS, P. P., 14, Glockengasse, Cologne, Germany. Nov. 14,1935, No. 31518. [Class 125 (iii)] A cap-retainer for a collapsable tube &c. 5 comprises two portions 2, 3, one of which engages the neck of the tube and the other the cap. A collar 2a of material having a lower coefficient of friction than rubber is interposed between the rubber of the retainer and the cap or the neck of the tube. The retainer may comprise a strip of rubber with an eve at each end and the collar 2a mav be a split washer. Alternatively, the retainer (Fig. 6) may be made from looped rubber 11 covered by artificial silk &c. clamped or otherwise secured together at 13 to form the desired eyes.
