452,256. Vacuum cleaning devices. GRAVE, G., 62, Hasenheide, Neuk÷lln, Berlin. Jan. 3, 1936, No. 247. [Class 8 (i)] A connection for securing rigid or flexible suction pipes to vacuum cleaners comprises a pipe 2 rotatably mounted at one end in the cap or cover of the cleaner and also rotatably mounted in a transverse wall 2 within the cover. The suction pipe and the pipe 2 may be rigidly connected, e.g. by a pin 5. The connecting pipe may be combined with a sieve 6 which may reduce noise and contain disinfecting &c. pads and may be provided with baffles 7 which retain type, &c., and by impact assist the removal of dust therefrom.
