[Class 74 (ii)] A device for supporting the cams of a multi-feed knitting- machine is characterized in that both needle and sinker cams of an individual feeding station of the machine are mounted to form a unitary structure with a single support. The needle-cams 9, 10 of the modification of Figs. 3 and 5, are carried by a cross-head 8 slidable between flanges on the post 1 which is provided with feet 2. The position of the cross-head 8 is adjustable by two knurled wheels 20, 21 the latter for coarse adjustments and the former, through an eccentric 29, for fine adjustments. Split collars, 30, 40, with screws through projecting ears, enable the adjusted cross-head to be fixed in position. Further needle cams 11, 15 are carried by the support 1. The sinker jack cams 47, 48 are attached by screws to the block allowing of adjustment both vertically and horizontally. To the top of the block may be attached a sinker cam assembly comprising a sinker retracting cam 91 and a sinker projecting cam 80, adjustably attached to an adjustable stem 78, the cam 80 being spring-urged inwardly. The sinker presser cam 111 for each block may be adjustably carried by a covering plate 110, all such cams being resiliently held inwardly by a spring 117. In a further modification a worm is used to turn a wheel to adjust a cross-head through an eccentric pin, the cross-head carrying the needle cams. The sinker jack cams are mounted similarly to the first described modification. In a modified sinker and presser cam assembly, the sinker projecting cam is resiliently supported, while the sinker presser cam is hinged to a spring urged hinged lever.
