[Class 144 (ii)] A device fitted within a pneumatic tyre to form a load-support on deflation of the tyre comprises a ring a of rigid material, or rigid sections connected by flexible portions, forming a direct seating p for the air-tube 4, and wing-portions b, b<1> of soft resilient material positioned between the ring a and the edgeportions of the tyre cover 2. The wigs b, b<1> may be secured to the ring a as shown in Fig. 1, or may be separate ; and, as shown in Fig. 3, they may be connected to form a seating 6 for the ring a. The latter may be bolted &c. to the wheel-rim.
