[Class 57] [See also Group XXVIII] A spring-loaded piston k is attached to the rack e for adjusting the amount delivered by the fuel injection pump a and the cylinder i is connected by a pipe to the air induction pipe f. A sleeve 11 engaging straight and helical splines 12, 10 is moved axially, to adjust the beginning of injection, by a spring loaded piston 22 ; the cylinder 23 being connected by the pipe 24 to pipe f. A Venturi tube r is mounted in the pipe f and a throttle valve g is mounted so that the ends of the pipes j, 24 and its spindle are in the same plane, the pipe 24 being before, and the pipe j after the valve, considered in the direction of flow.
