442,785. Seat - back cushions; seatadjustments. MORRIS COMMERCIAL CARS, Ltd., Adderley Park, Birmingham, and NUFFIELD, W. R. MORRIS, LORD, Cowley, Oxford. Sept. 15, 1934, No. 26503. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iv)] A seat-back cushion is provided with a relatively hard bulge to fit the small of the user's back. In the case of a spring-upholstered cushion the springs at the bulge are stronger or stiffer than those in the rest of the cushion and in the case of a pneumatic cushion a separate air chamber 18 at this part of the back is inflated to a higher pressure than the other chamber or chambers which complete the back cushion. In order to adjust the height of the bulge the back cushion is provided with pegs adjustable in a series of holes in the supporting frame, or alternatively carries perforated plates 12, Fig. 2, to engage fixed pegs.
