[Class 132 (ii)] [See also Group XVIII] Relates to a game apparatus wherein a table capable of universal rocking movement has holes therein so that balls placed on the table can by rocking the table be caused to enter the holes, and be retained therein by a disc or plate below the table and consists in providing the disc with holes so that by an horizontal movement of the disc the two sets of holes may be brought into register to permit the balls to fall through. As shown in Fig. 3, an enclosed table 2, provided with a number of apertures 12, is mounted on gimbals so that it may be rocked in all directions by a handle 10. The balls 1 are brought on to the table one by one through an aperture 25 and the object of the player is to roll the balls into the apertures 12 by rocking the table. The balls may roll off the edge of the table during the rocking movement. An apertured plate 13 prevents the balls from passing through the apertures in the table until the plate is slid horizontally to align the apertures, by pressing-in a pin knob 18 after which the liberated balls run into a collecting container. In a modification the pin knob 18 is replaced by a slide 30, Fig. 6, movable by means of a handle projecting through the casing. On moving the slide in the direction of the arrow A a pin on the slide pushes back a hinge lever which in turn slides the apertured plate to release the balls from the table. The handle 10 is engaged by inclines 37 in the slide and is directed into a slot 38 where it is locked against rotation by a projection 53 on the handle. A ball-obstructing slide 41 carried by the slide 30 allows the accumulated balls to roll to a pocketed elevating disc 48, and a spring retracts the slide. The balls may now be raised and delivered one at a time to the playing table by rotating the elevating disc 48, by means of a knob 47. The slide 30 may be coin-freed, in which case two pins 54, 55 on the slide are arranged to engage a lever 56 which is unlocked by the insertion of a coin. In a modification, Fig. 11, wherein the movement of the slide causes the issue of a token from a magazine, the slide 64 receives the inserted coin 62 after passing a coin tester 63<1> and on movement to the right rocks (by means of a pin 70) a bent lever 72 so as to eject the leading token 59 laterally down a delivery shoot, the inserted coin then falling off a bar 65 into a coin collector. If no coin is present the movement of the slide is prevented by the engagement of a lever 66 with a notch 67 in the slide, the engagement of the lever being prevented by the presence of a coin. The leading token is visible through a display opening. The pin 70 also rocks a lever 76 to liberate the balls from the playing table. In a further modification, a number of token magazines are arranged radially, the leading token in each magazine being visible. The player by operating a hand-lever may rotate the magazines to bring any desired, token to a central position opposite the delivery tray. After inserting a coin, the slide 30 is moved to release the balls from the playing table and to eject the selected token into the delivery tray. The balls are elevated into play by rotating a knob connected to a lever 108, Fig. 22, which, by pressing against a spring 109 pushes the leading ball up the delivery tube 50.
