Abstract
399,349. Coin-actuated game apparatus ; table games. BRYAN, W. E., Bryan's Automatic Works, London Road, Kegworth, Derbyshire. Dec. 20, 1932, No. 36029. [Class 27.] Coin action, weight.-Coin-actuated amusement apparatus comprises a table pivoted for movement about a horizontal axis but normally held horizontal, a shoot or the like for projecting coins on the table, a target associated with the table, and means for tipping the table on the engagement of a winning coin with the target to deliver to the player the coins accumulated on the table. As shown, a plurality of tables 7 are disposed beneath a glass top 4. and each is provided with a hole 7A communicating by a shoot 15 with a pivoted flap 16 mounted on a spindle 14 connected with the table by linkwork 11, 10, 9 so arranged that the table cannot be tipped by the weight of coins thereon. A coin entering one of the holes 7A, after projection over the table by an adjustable shoot 17 hits the flap 16 and thus actuates the linkwork to tip the table and deliver any coins thereon to the player by way of an inclined surface 20 leading to a side opening, the actuating coin itself being retained in the machine. Each flap 16 is adapted, when actuated, to lock the flap of the preceding table against actuation. The tables are reset by a handle 23 connected with a slide 21, pins 24 on which engage the arms 9 associated with the table. According to the Provisional Specification, the coins may be projected by hand or by a spring gun; the tables may be restored by a spring or by gravity ; coins not reaching, or passing beyond, the table may be automatically returned and the holes 7A and flaps 16 may be replaced by upright pins adapted to be hit by the coins. Testing coins.-The flaps 16 have holes 16B through which small coins pass without actuating the flap.
