Abstract

439,571. Electric cooking stoves. COLLINS, G. H., and COLLINS, H. F., Premier Works, Keeley Street, Birmingham. June 2, 1934, No. 16464. [Class 39 (iii)] [See also Group XXXVI] The heating-unit comprises resistance coils 29, 30 arranged concentrically in grooves in a refractory support 20 provided with feet 24 engaging holes in a baffle 13 supported by pillars 11 from a base 5. The coils may be connected in series or parallel. The support 20 is in sector-shaped pieces secured in position by a central circular portion 19 bolted to the baffle and by a wire 26 passing through perforations in the feet 24. Ribs 28 on the support separate adjacent parts of the elements. Perforations in the support, baffle and base permit drainage. A grid support 9 is carried by a casing 8 secured to the pillars 11.
