[Class 35] An electric motor, particularly for a vacuum cleaner, is mounted coaxially within a cylindrical shell 1 by means of a pair of spiders 11, 12 secured in the shell and supporting within their hubs cylindrical axial extensions 6, 7 of the motor frame 8 ; the axial extensions are of smaller diameter than the motor frame and sleeves 9, 10 of resilient material are interposed between them and the spider hubs. The sleeves 9, 10 which may be of rubber are splined internally and externally.
