436,918. Vehicle wheels. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., 32, Osnaburgh Street, London, HARDEMAN, W. E., and LACEY, B. W. D., Fort Dunlop, Birmingham. Sept. 7, 1934, No. 25756. [Class 144 (ii)] A wheel-rim and tyre-base are formed with seating-surfaces each comprising a smallerdiameter part of cylindrical form and a largerdiameter part of corrugated, polygonal, or other varying-diameter formation, to prevent creep between tyre and rim. In the construction shown, the rim comprises a fixed part 2 having a seating 5 of undulating form, and a detachable side-flange 3 having a cylindrical seating 6, the co-operating portions of the tyre-base being correspondingly formed. The solid tyre shown has its base faced with canvas 7 and fitted with retaining wires &c. 10.
