436,594. Hydraulic transmission of power. WADE, J. T., Fairfield Works, West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe, Bucking- hamshire. April 16, 1934, No. 11406. [Class 69 (ii)] In hydraulic transmission means of the turbine type, a casing has guide vanes arranged around a turbine wheel, and radial webs, the passages between adjacent guide vanes being oppositely curved with respect to the passages between adjacent turbine vanes. In the form shown, the driving member comprises a casing having radial webs 4, and a guide vane ring 3, the latter having vanes on opposite sides of a member 11, co-operating with the vanes of a turbine rotor 2. A friction clutch 7 is controlled from a pedal through toggle means 9 acted on by a return spring 10, and the webs 4 may have extensions 4<1>.
