[Class 126] In cooking-apparatus comprising a fire-box unit and a unit which consists of an oven 13 and co-operating flues 20, 21, 22, 27 for the passage of hot gases from the firebox, the oven unit is provided with a plurality of outlets 23 any one or more of which can be utilized to exhaust the hot gases from the unit so that the quantity of hot gases passing along any particular flue or flues can be varied. A single chimney 25 may be associated with one of the outlet apertures 23, and the other apertures closed by cover plates, or a plurality of chimneys each controlled by a damper may be provided. Dampers 28, 29 may be provided in the flues, a damper may be provided in the aperture 19 into the firebox unit.
