Abstract
432,577. Strap fastenings. BUTLER & HEATH, Ltd., and GRANT, J., School Street, Walsall, Staffordshire. Jan. 31, 1934, No. 3189. [Class 44] [See also Group VII] A wrist band for watches &c. formed of two straps detachably connected to the watch, has a loop carried by the free end of one strap, which is comparatively short, and the other strap, which is comparatively long is passed through this loop and folded back upon itself, its free end having a fastening member co-operating with another member adjustable upon a narrow strip of material secured to the longer strap. A short strap 2 has a loop 10 through which a strap 1 is passed, the end of this strap having a stud 9 for engaging a socket 7 formed in a stamped plate 4 adjustable upon a narrow strip 3 secured to the strap. Alternatively an ordinary press fastener may be used, one part being mounted on a leather base slidable on the strip 3. The stud 9 and socket 10 may be formed as described in Specification 404,811 and the straps 1, 2 are secured to the watch as described in that Specification. The strap 1 is in two parts, each having a facing and a lining strip, secured together at b with the facing strips reversed.
