431,088. Locking nuts. PETTIT, R. J., 37, Vernon Road, Durban, South Africa. March 29, 1934, No. 9887. [Class 89 (i)] The nut 2 is locked on the bolt 1 by a nut 3 which has a thread of opposite hand to that of the nut 2, and engages a portion 5 of the bolt which is of reduced diameter. The neighbouring faces 2<a>, 3<a> of the nuts are serrated, these serrations being engaged by the ends of a spring strip 7.
