DE RECHERCHES ET DE PERFECTIONNEMENTS INDUSTRIELS, 87, Avenue Wilson, Puteaux, Seine, both in France. Nov. 24, 1933, No. 32897. Convention date, Nov. 29, 1932. [Class 86] A machine for mixing road materials, consisting of a fluid hydrocarbon and a filler, comprises a tank 1 fitted with a stirrer in the form of a spiral 3 through which steam can be circulated and which is fitted with blades 4. The tank is mounted on a chassis which also carries a boiler 13 and a crane 16 for charging the tank with the filler, the top of the tank having a hopper 10 placed to one side so as to discharge its contents on to the hydrocarbon in the region of the blades 4 as they emerge. The hydrocarbon and mixture in turn are circulated by a pump 14 and can be returned to the tank through a perforated pipe 20 connected to a strainer 12, or through a pipe 21 directly to the strainer. The pipe 21 is pivoted to facilitate discharge of the mixture from the machine.
