[Class 6 (i)] A rotary cultivator comprises a frame having front wheels 10 and guiding handles 9, a transverse rear horizontal shaft 5, one or more inclined disc tools mounted on the shaft to be rotated by it, and means for rotating the shaft 5 independently of the progression of the implement. Two disc tools 1 may be inclined towards one another and provided with spring shock absorbers 3 acting on their hubs. The shaft 5 may be driven in either direction from a motor 14 through change gearing &c. The depth of work is regulated by means of a quadrant 8. The discs 1 may be reversed, and may be circular, oval, toothed, smooth, dished, &c.
