427,165. Smallarms ; stocks. ROHRWIG, O. REICH-, 3, Nibelungengasse, Vienna. Dec. 3, 1934, No. 34682. Convention date, Jan. 3. [Class 119] A bolt 5 is mounted transversely in the stock 4 of a gun, and is formed with a flat recess 6 to receive the lug 3 depending from the barrel or breech casing 1, so as to take up the shock of firing. The bolt is also formed with a curved notch 7 to fit the cylindrical under surface of the breech casing. The ends 9 of the bolt are cupshaped, and these ends are expanded to secure the bolt firmly to the stock. These cup-shaped ends also serve for mounting the gun on a stand and then transmit the shock to the stand directly, thereby relieving the stock.
