Abstract

The invention described in the parent Specification is extended to cover the electrodeposition of bronze having a tin content of 3-35 per cent, the balance being substantially copper. A preferred range is 13-16 per cent of tin. A specified alloy contains 15 per cent of tin. The soluble anodes of copper-tin alloy employed in the electrodeposition are heat-treated to obtain maximum softness by casting in a metal mould, cooling in the mould, heating to 1000 DEG F., for 15 minutes, and quenching in water. Specification 409,001, [Group XXXVI], is referred to.
