Abstract

Aluminium alloys containing up to 12 per cent of copper with or without zinc, up to 0,5 per cent of magnesium, and 0,2 per cent of tin, contain also 0,1-5 per cent of antimony which is added by a process comprising forming a preliminary alloy of antimony with, for example, half the aluminium and adding this to the remainder of the ingredients. The alloys may be worked at about 500 DEG C. and cooled in air.
