Abstract
Alloys for cutting tools, welding rods, and other articles contain 1-4 per cent of carbon, 10-35 per cent of chromium, 5-30 per cent of tungsten or molybdenum or both, 0,2-2,5 per cent of boron, 0,25-20 per cent of vanadium, and 25-65 per cent of cobalt, the remainder being mainly iron or nickel or both preferably not over 20 per cent. The alloys may also contain 0,1-1 per cent each of manganese and silicon.
