Abstract

424,137. Jigging conveyers. TURNBULL, F., Heaton Junction Works, Heaton, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Aug. 15, 1933, No. 22817. [Class 78 (i)] Material is transferred from a conveyer p to a lower conveyer q by an inclined quadrantal member a which is oscillated by an eccentric driven connecting rod m. The member a is composed of sheet steel bent into channel shape and is attached by brackets a<2> and stays a<3> to a pair of cross beams b, c. One end of the beam b is attached at one end to a rod d depending from an overhead support in which it is free to turn, and the adjacent end of the beam c is connected by a bar e to the beam b. The other ends of the beams b, c are pivoted to the lower ends of depending rods j, k pivoted to overhead supports. Rollers or spring legs may replace the rods j, k, and an upstanding pivot may be substituted for the rod d.
