Convention dates, July 17, 1933 and Oct. 6, 1933. [Class 78 (i).] Each trough section r is connected at one end by riveting or welding to a transverse plate a and connected to a similar plate at the other end in such a manner that it is displaceable longitudinally to a limited extent, e.g. by rivets j passing through slots e. The plates a of each section are connected by rods b, and the adjacent plates of adjacent sections are connected by screws d passed through their looped ends c. In a modification the rods b are connected by the engagement of a hook on one with a pivoted yoke on the other, clamping means, such as a wedge, being provided for keeping the parts in engagement. In another modification the rods are connected by the engagement of a head on one with the slotted arms of an angular yoke pivoted to the other. The rods may be replaced by strips.
