Abstract

422,274. Bomb-dropping. VICKERSARMSTRONGS, Ltd., and DICKSON, B. W. A., Vickers House, Broadway, Westminster. March 14, 1932, No. 7581. [Class 9 (ii)] In bomb-dropping apparatus comprising a sear lever E pivoted at e and a safety lever G therefor pivoted at g, either lever or each of them is balanced so that its centre of gravity is as near to its pivot as possible to prevent accidental release by shocks. As shown, the sear E is adapted when operated to release a catch lever F, which in turn releases a spring influenced slide B ; and this slide is connected by links D to the release member C of the bomb-dropping gear. Specification 422,266 is referred to.
