Abstract

422,197. Safety razors. CIVIDANES, C., 42, Queen's Gardens, Hyde Park, London. July 3, 1933, No. 18789. [Class 30] A guard 10, which can be used with either face uppermost for providing different blade-exposures, has on its opposite faces, bladeflexing ribs 21, 22 of different heights, and guarding- edges 27, 28 bevelled to different angles on each face. The bevelled faces may be grooved longitudinally or transversely and their width is inversely proportional to their inclination. Slotted channels 25 are arranged between the ribs and the edges, and the narrow ends are inwardly curved. The clamping-plate 11 has shields which mask the corners of the blade 12. Preferred dimensions are stated, and the razor may have one, two, or more cutting-edges. The guard is non-metallic. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to British Specifications 15552/10, [Class 30], and 396,487, and U.S.A. Specification 1,888,962.
