Abstract

419,070. Roller blinds. MARSHALL, H., 10, Cypress Avenue, Whitton, Twickenham, Middlesex. May 6, 1933, No. 13206. [Class 52 (v).] A roller blind is provided with a rotary brush adapted to contact with a surface of the blind and rotated by the roller thereof. The brush 10 is housed in the casing 1 which contains the blind roller 3, and makes contact with the upper surface of the blind 2. The brush is rotated by means of a chain 7 driven from a sprocket 5 on the roller 3, preferably at a higher speed than the roller. The brush is supported by links 11, 12 which allow it to rise as the blind is rolled up. Means may be provided for lifting and holding the brush out of contact with the blind when desired.
