Abstract

418,730. Lubricators. BRETTELL, F. G., 14, High Holborn, London. June 27, 1933, No. 9195/34. Divided application. [Class 12 (iii)] A lubricant fitting has concentric large, intermediate and small bores, 97, 99, 100 adapted to receive a valve member 106, which seats on the junction between the bores 97, 99, and extends into and closes the small bore 100. The juncture between the small and intermediate bores is coned. The valve is held closed by a spring 104 which abuts a member 118 welded to the fitting. Instead of the member 118, the spring may abut a perforated disc secured in the bore 97 or projections pressed out of the shank 96. The fitting has a hexagonal part 95 for screwing it into place, or it may be forced into place. If the fitting has a cap it is provided with an additional screwed portion 95<1>, and the cap has a conical portion 122 which bears against the spherical head 93. The fitting may be attached to the oil container of a capillary syphon lubricator.
