418,447. Supporting conductors. JOHNSON, N. G., Lepride, Henfield, Sussex. April 22, 1933, No. 11824. [Class 36.] A device for supporting conductors on skirting boards &c. comprises a strip 10 having a flat portion 12 which is inserted between the skirting board and the wall, and a bent portion 19 forming an eye through which the conductor passes. The device is provided with a resilient member 13 adapted to press against the rear face of the skirting board and retain the device in position. The resilient member 13, which may be barbed to prevent withdrawal of the device, may be formed by extending the end of the strip past the eye 19, as shown in Fig. 7, so that it diverges from the flat portion 12. As shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the resilient member 13 consists of a tongue which is stamped out of the flat portion 12. The strip 10 may be of sheet insulating material, or of metal coated with insulating material, or, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the device may be made of bare metal and the eye 19 lined with sheet insulation 16 which is held in place by a stamped out tongue 20 and by splaying the edges 18 of the lining.
