416,893. Packing for cigarettes &c. UNIVERSALLE CIGARETTENMASCHINEN-FABRIK J. C. MULLER & CO., 48, Zwickauerstrasse, Dresden, Germany. Jan. 29, 1934, No. 2969. Convention date, Nov. 16, 1933. [Classes 18 and 94 (i).] A packing for cigarettes and similarly-shaped articles comprises a carton and a covering for the cigarettes &c. therein, the covering being formed from a rectangular blank of paper &c. provided near one or both of its end margins with a line produced by stamping, scoring, or perforating so that, after the carton is opened, a strip may be removed from one or both sides of the end of the covering so as to expose the cigarettes &c. for withdrawal. As shown one end 8 of the covering 4 is provided with a tear-off line 7 and the ends 161 of the side flaps 16 of the drawer 2 of the carton are scored so that they may be bent outwards to facilitate correct separation of the covering along the line 7.
