Abstract

416,055. Floor - polishing apparatus. PASCOE, F. H., 15, Gover Lane, Newquay, Cornwall. March 7, 1933, No. 6894. [Classes 19 and 138 (i).] A flat plate 11, preferably of metal, is adapted to be connected to the flat rotary brush of a floor polishing machine, one face being in contact with the bristles 2 and the other having numerous snags 15 to engage the back of a felt pad 5. The pad 5 is shaped to a boss 9 at the centre to fit inside a hollow boss 12 on the plate 11. The pad and plate are attached to the brush back 1 by a disc 7 having spring arms 8, passing through perforations 6 and 14 in the pad and plate respectively to engage recesses in the brush back 1. Instead of a hollow boss, the plate 11 may be provided with a bridge piece, similarly perforated or with a recess at each side to engage the spring arms 8.
