Abstract

412,814. Storing liquefied gases. DEHOTTAY, H., 19, Route de Floriheid, Malmedy, Belgium. Oct. 4, 1933, No. 27349. Convention date, Oct. 12, 1932. [Class 8 (ii).] Liquid carbon dioxide stored and transported in a vessel 1 is kept at low pressure by the action of solid carbon dioxide in a vessel 9 adapted to be put in communication with the vessel 1. The vessel 9 may be filled with the solid by expanding the fluid substance in the vessel through supply and return pipes 16, 17, the valves 12 in the pipes 11 which connect the two vessels being shut during the filling. The vessel 9 may be wholly enclosed in the vessel 1. Several vessels may be used together, enclosed in an insulated chamber. Both vessels may be filled with solid carbon dioxide.
