Abstract

A separator diaphragm for electric accumulators comprises a diaphragm portion of porous material such as glass wool, spun quartz or other forms of silica, or blue asbestos agglomerated by porous rubber. It may be produced by agglomerating spun glass wool with latex and then vulcanizing so as to transform the latex into porous rubber.
