Abstract

228,704. Skennerton, W. I. Feb. 4, 1924, Lenses; optical-projection-apparatus.-Multiple lens condensers consist of two double convex lenses 2, 3, between which is situated a third lens 5 which is a converging meniscus or a planoconvex lens. The lenses are separated by rings 6 to act as distance-pieces, the rings in contact with the lenses nearer the illuminant being filled with asbestos. The meniscus lens is preferably placed nearer to the double convex lens which faces the illuminant. Flats are out on the sides of the lenses to facilitate ventilation.
