Abstract

412,602. Making cap-closures for bottles. SURE SEAL & SUTAX, Ltd., 132, Lots Road, Chelsea, and STEPHENS, W. A., 73, Pennard Road, Shepherd's Bush, both in London. Dec. 22, 1932, No. 36374. [Class 125 (iii).] An apparatus for securing sealing rings, wads &c. in bottlecaps, comprises a rotary conveyer 7 which carries a series of caps in spaced relationship and which is given a stepby-step motion, each step being one half the pitch of the caps ; a charging plunger 15, and a pasting plunger 14, reciprocally mounted so that each plunger is alternately charged and then applies its charge to a cap. A suction plunger 16 removes the charged caps to a platform &c. below the plate-conveyer 7. The plunger 15 takes rings by suction from the stack 20 and places them in the caps to which adhesive has previously been applied by the plunger 14. Mechanism for driving the apparatus is shown and described. Specifications 280,623 and 280,839, [both in Class 125 (iii)], are referred to.
