Abstract

412,293. Wheel rims. INDIA RUBBER, GUTTA PERCHA, & TELEGRAPH WORKS CO., Ltd., Aldwych House, Aldwych, and TARRIS, F. J., c/o India Rubber, Gutta Percha, & Telegraph Works Co., Silvertown, both in London. Jan. 4, 1933, Nos. 262 and 11461. [Class 144 (ii).] A wheel-rim is reinforced by radial inwardlydirected flanges integral with, but spaced from, the tyre-retaining flanges. Fig. 3 shows a typical form in which the shallow flange 15A is adapted to receive a fairing-disc, and the deeper flange 16 serves for the attachment of a brake-drum. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the tyreretaining flanges 24, with integral reinforcing- flanges 26, are formed separately from the rimbase 20.
